This session will describe why disabled children and young people are vulnerable to abuse, explore how to respond where abuse is suspected and offer guidance on how to build the resilience of disabled children and young people and their families.
The word order ‘disabled children and young people’ is used in this and all the Disability Matters sessions. This is because disabling factors are most often external to the person and are therefore something that everyone in society can do something about.
